Roundtable: Decolonising Urban Heritage Spaces

The decolonisation agenda has implications for museums and universities, both of whose pasts are entwined in imperial colonialism. Their creation myths are inextricably linked to the notion of acquisitive knowledge and power structures. What is the civic role of museums and universities today and in the future and far should these institutions go to redress this history? This roundtable explores how creative solutions can be used to rethink these institutions and ensure they have relevance now and in future.
