Phillip Walker

Philip Walker – is Head of Engagement for Bristol Culture, with responsibility for the programme across 5 of Bristol Museums – including M Shed, Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, Blaise Museum, Red Lodge and the Georgian House. Part of the national advisory board to the National Trust he has curated and produced exhibitions and events such as Banksy versus Bristol Museum and Museums at Night. He oversees festivals and events in the city including Bristol Harbour Festival and supports others including St Pauls Carnival and chairs the Bristol DIY arts committee.

Philip is keen to see museums maintain their relevance to audiences now and in future and will explore creative ways to decolonise, reinvent and reimagine museums in future.
