Dr Steve Presence Senior Lecturer, Film & Television, University of the West of England

Dr Steve Presence is a Senior Lecturer in Film and Television at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol). Most of his research is focused on two subfields of Films Studies: activist and independent film culture, and film and television industry studies. He is the convenor of the Radical Film Network (www.radicalfilmnetwork.com) and co-author of Go West! Bristol’s Film and Television Industries (2017) and is currently Principal Investigator on the AHRC-funded research project, ‘UK Feature Docs: Studying the Feature Documentary Film Industry’ (https://ukfd.org.uk/).
