Dr Laura Ager Independent Researcher & Educator

Laura Ager is a researcher, educator, event organiser and relentless cultural enthusiast. From an early interest in 1990s sub-cultures to a recently completed PhD in festivals being presented by UK Universities, Laura’s interests lie in the connections between people, practices and places. She works at a Grade II listed cinema, programmes films for two major film festivals in Yorkshire and writes for several blogs, while her latest creative project is Leeds-based pop-up cine-club, Film Fringe.
